Writing - Report Card

Report Card

You are to write a comment for your end of year report card for two subjects. One must be for your General Comment and other is your choice. Be reflective on your choice....don't just go for the easy option. Read over your first semester report card and consider where you feel you could make progress or changes. This is going to be used as part of your Learning Conference so remember that you need to mindful that your consider how you are going to make these changes.   

Things to remember...

- Only 1000 characters per comment

- You need to write it in the past tense (...like you have already finished the year)

- Think about the language that you use (..a formal approach)

- Proofreading is critical!

- Be positive and constructive about your feedback 

  (C.R.C - Commend Recommend Commend)

Possible ideas to include in your comments...

- Attention/Staying on Task/Distracted

- Organisation/Deadlines/Meeting Requirements 

- Personal Character traits 

- Attitude towards work

- Knowledge and Understanding (For subject comment only!)

- Ideas you had or questions

This needs to be shared with me...

You should have at least two entries by Friday.

NOVEL NAME

In your Reading Folder in your Google Drive you need to have create a folder (named after your novel).

You then need to create two documents that need to be kept up to date as your read your novel. These will develop as your read.

They are to be...

 Chapter Notes
Summary of each chapter - including

• Main events/ideas (in order)
• Key quotes or lines from the text

Character Notes
Summary of each character - including

• Physical description
• personalities/traits
• key lines or quotes about the character
• habits
• relationships and interactions between characters
